DWS
DeHart Wrestling School is run by Mike DeHart, ex-head coach of Miami East High School’s wrestling team in Bradford, OH. He has a wrestling barn in his back yard and has had hundreds of wrestlers pass through the doors. DeHart has created numerous state placers and worked with even more. Wrestlers from all over come to his camps—Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and just about everywhere in Ohio. He also does a winter club and a spring club. The winter club practices two nights a week and travel to a few pre-season tournaments. They practice throughout the entire season to get the edge over their competitors. His spring club attends practice and go to some post-season tournaments and even gets into freestyle a little bit.
These camps are some of the best there are. The enrollment is limited for more one on one coaching. The best part is, they are cheap. When compared to most other camp pricing, you’ll come running. The quality of his camps are highly admired as well. The wrestlers don’t get stuck outside all day; they can come in, have a snack, and watch tv. They go out to eat for breakfast and they cook out for dinner. They are supplied with plenty of Gatorade, Kool-Aid, and water throughout camp. There are games to play, bikes and scooters to ride, and lots of video games to go around.
“Every wrestler that has come here is like a brother to me,” says Mike’s daughter, Meredith. “We treat them like family… not like campers.”
